Schwitter Ruedi (BI)
Hi

Is there  a way to put the release tag (  %{?dist} ) into the rpm-packages ?

Regards Ruedi :-)

Sorry, I don't know that that means. I imagine the answer is no, but I'll
wait for an explanation.

Note that the build service gives me essentially no control over any
revision information in the RPMs. I can control the package version from the
spec file, but the rest of the revision info is bumped every time the
package gets built. Not every revision bump is "meaningful" but I try and
keep it to a minimum, and if the upgrading is safe, it isn't too big of a
problem.

AW: [Shib-Users] Release tag's

Hi

I'm not the developer. With this tag, You are able to distinguish different releases.

z.B.:

rhel4/i386/log4shib-1.0.3-2.1.i386.rpm
rhel5/i386/log4shib-1.0.3-2.1.i386.rpm

More information:

I don't have any idea whether the feature is available in the build service,
but if it is, it may be possible to prefix the automatically generated
revision numbers with it. You can file a jira issue if you like.
